Marco Kreuzpaintner (1977) is an award winning director, screenwriter and executive producer. His work spans a variety of genres, from gritty thrillers like ‘Trade’ to fantasy films like ‘Krabat’.
Since 1999, he has directed short and feature length films that have received widespread acclaim. He gained international recognition in 2004 with Summer Storm, his second feature film which reminisces his own experience coming out at a young age as gay. Since then, he has produced the hit series ‘Bodies’ for Netflix and the BAFTA award winning series ‘The Lazarus Project’.
Kreuzpaintner is praised for his ability to craft compelling narratives that delve into complex human emotions and social themes. His films are praised for their nuanced character studies and thought-provoking explorations of the human condition.
